About Me
My name is Jeff Martin. I am a hairdresser and makeup artist in both Michigan and California and have been working in the beauty industry for over 20 years. My first six years were spent as a hairstylist and part time educator for Sebastian International. As a part time educator, I traveled throughout the state of Michigan conducting classes for salon employees in hair styling, cutting, coloring, makeup and product knowledge. Working for Sebastian allowed me to gain many different skills in the beauty industry. Having the opportunity to work with some of Sebastians top makeup artists, gave me a great foundation in makeup artistry. After working 3 1/2 years for Sebastian, I shifted my career slightly and began my career as a full time makeup artist. I then left the salon industry for about 4 years and worked for Chanel and MAC cosmetics. Working for these two companies broadened my makeup artistry skills, and taught me more about business. I took my knowledge from all these different experiences, and brought it back to the salon. I love the career I have chosen. It's a career that constantly changes and gives me new opportunities to grow. It gives me the opportunity to inspire my clients and give them new tips and tricks.
